Evergreen olive groves are reaching to the horizon where the Mediterranean touches the beach. A small traditional village is meandering up a mellow hill. The air is salty and it’s rather quiet. Under an olive tree one cicada says hello to another one, or rather: Kalimera!
Welcome to Ninas Seacrete, a Greek bungalow in the south of Crete! The dark blue shutters are wide open, letting in light and air. Everything you need to do now is to fully surrender to the sweet Mediterranean life. Here you’ll find nothing else but everything you need to just do that.
The ground-level bungalow accommodates 4 people and awaits you with spacious rooms and commode amenities:
wifi, smart TV (Netflix, Amazon Prime), washing machine, underfloor heating, air conditioning, parking.
Pets, children, smoking, and everything else you need in life are explicitly allowed.
Right next to the main house, you will find an independent, small but excellent cottage (formerly an office). Adapted and designed for 1 person, it has a sofa bed, a toilet with washbasin, an outdoor shower and no wifi - yes, it can be so easy to get away from it all.
Both buildings were newly and sustainably built only a few years ago, equipped with their own solar system and heat pump.
For many years Nina worked as a project manager for Polaroid and Supersense. One fine day she decided to follow the call of her heart and brought her vision to life by creating harmonious spaces to host nice guests.
You can experience this at www.ninashome.at in Vienna and now also on Crete island. With her flair for beauty and style, she transformed the small house into a little oasis, which is her own since spring 2022. Sharing her long-standing dream of a house in the south with all her guests is what truly makes her happy.
Ninas Seacrete is located at the foot of the charming little village of Kamilari in the south of Crete. In the middle of an olive grove and with only two direct neighbours, you will find nice tavernas, lovely people and authentic village life within a few minutes walk. In just a few minutes' drive you can reach the former hippy village of Matala and many beautiful, uncrowded beaches far away from the beaten tracks.
Within walking distance you’ll find the pharmacy, kiosk, ATM, bakery, taverns, bars and a supermarket in the village of Kamilari. Within a few minutes drive you’ll find many more shops and weekly markets in Tymbaki (Fridays) and Mires (Saturdays).
The best way is to fly to Heraklion airport with an airline of your choice. From there you drive approx. 60km/1 hour to Kamilari/Taxi: 80,- Euro.
Alternatively you can do so from Chania airport, from where it is approx. 132km/2 hours. There are car rental companies at both airports. Ideally you book with a larger company, smaller companies often ask for the car back cleaned.
You are welcome to not only rent Nina's Seacrete, but also Nina's Car.
Or a private shuttle service to and from the airport - request directly to Nina (€ 70)
Or you can book another car with the car rental company you trust: Konstantinos Mustafas
